I have no plan of what will happen in any of the daily spaces in my 2012 calendar. Part of me would like to make a determination of some kind: use it for the Diva Challenge (always a good idea), practice new tangles, start at the beginning of the alphabet and work the tangle names in order? I love all of these ideas, but in the end, what comes each day is going to be a mystery, and I love that too!
I am now off to make a pot of tea, do some savoring, and see what appears for today's space!
Thank you for showing an example of your tangles in your calendar. I don't always think outside the box, and the same would have been true if I was tangling in the squares provided on the calendar. But seeing how you worked outside the box gives me new ideas of how it can be done. I'm off to order one of your calendars. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI love how each day is individual, but you've managed to make them look of-a-piece and connected. I assume you drew them on each individual day.... What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI tangled them each at separate times, but I allow myself to step over the line into the next day, or leave space on the present day for tomorrow's day to flow into it. It's not a plan, but it is a deliberate act:)
ReplyDeleteHi Carole,
ReplyDeleteI am new to tangling, will take my first basic class on Jan. 8, 2012. I had signed up for "the diva" notification of challenges, but have not received anything from that website. I know her children were sick over the holiday. Do you know if a new challenge has gone out? I love your calendar idea and will be ordering one.
Hi Gloria, The Diva will return next week, I believe. Stay tuned!
ReplyDeleterandom question about the calendar.. what do the middle pages look like? are there 3 days on each side of the page?
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, each page looks like this one: 3 spaces/days per page. There is also a full page/month calendar at the beginning of each month. There are 146 pages total in the book.
ReplyDeleteOh what a splendid start to the year!
ReplyDeleteI think this is fantastic!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Carole! I've seen you and Shelly B. use this beautiful, flowy, star thingy! I saw someone somewhere call it...Fengle...? Is that right? I MUST know how it's done! I've tried it a couple of times and can't get it right. Any tips? Your first three tangles are so lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, do you have a CZT near you? That would be a good way to learn Fengle.
DeleteFinally received my calendar (could hardly wait!) and started right in. I also started Jan. 1 with Tink. Great start to the year! I love this calendar. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank YOU!
